As you may have noticed, I sometimes tend to have an issue with timeliness when it comes to this blog. Hence, a quick Christmas post from our visit to Disneyland/California Adventure last month.
Apparently, elaborately designed popcorn buckets have been a hit for Disney in Tokyo, so they’ve started making holiday-themed buckets for the stateside parks. (Mr. Hockey is a popcorn fiend so that has given me an excuse to get them…)
And when I went up to take a look at the snowman-style Mickey, i spotted Pele from the Enchanted Tiki Room peeking out from the bucket next to it. More tiki updates from The Happiest Place on Earth to come…
I created the artwork on this bucket and just happened to stumble upon it here. I’m glad you found Pele.
Very cool! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
DO U KNOW IF THE DISNEY BIG WIGS WILL EVER BRING THE POPCORN BUCKET LIKE THEY HAVE IN DISNEY, TOKYO HERE TO STATES ? I GO TO DISNEY WORLD AT LEAST 2 TIMES A YEAR, ONCE IN THE SUMMER, AND AGAIN AT HALLOWEEN, OR CHRISTMAS. IM ALSO A VERY BIG POPCORN BUCKET COLLECTOR. AND I WOULD LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, TO BE ABLE TO GET ONE OF THE POPCORN BUCKETS LIKE THEY HAVE IN TOKYO HERE AT DISNEY WORLD. I JUST WISH I KNEW WHAT COULD BE DONE TO GET THEM HERE TO THE STATES. THEY’D BE A HUGE HIT, SO I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY HAVE’NT THOUGHT ABOUT DOING IT YET !!! ? BEST REGAURDS, LISA. L
I think they’re starting to catch on to the popularity of those popcorn buckets. They’ve been offering the same holiday ones for a couple years, plus a neat R2D2 popcorn bucket. Of course, they’re not quite as elaborate as the Tokyo ones.
