Hello Kitty Goes to Easter Island

When my dear Curiouslaydee returned from her adventures in Hong Kong she brought me back a bag full of Hello Kitty goodies both useful (camera case) and still useful but kind of silly (Hello Kitty printed paper towels).

My favorite item though has to be these stickers featuring Hello Kitty as various cultural icons: Sherlock Holmes, The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, Jack & Rose from “Titanic” (lol)…

And even Hello Kitty as one of the moai on Easter Island! Yet another instance of two of my favorite things coming together. (See also: tiki and baseball, sexy vampires and Hawaiian music, Shag and Star Wars, and Shag (again) and Disneyland, to name a few.

In other news: Yesterday was my blog’s first birthday!

Happy Halloween!

Halloweentime at Disneyland

For not having acknowledged the holiday until the last six or so years, Disneyland does a bang-up job with HalloweenTime. There’s the amazing “Nightmare Before Christmas”-Haunted Mansion mash-up, and this year they added a “Ghost Galaxy” element to Space Mountain.

Also new were special Halloween-themed fireworks which featured Disney villains and “Nightmare.” Zero the dog flew across the sky!

But my favorite part are the creative carved pumpkins they have decorated in Frontier Land. Gotta love these Enchanted Tiki Room pumpkins! More festive gourds after the jump…
